Any comments or observations?
Your article is spot on. I have had lower back pain since I was a preteen. Now, at 48, I can’t even stand very long because my back feels awful. It doesn’t help that I can’t do special exercises due to a botched hernia surgery. If I can get the botch repaired, I can go back to focusing on getting my back better. I have seen a few chiropractors. One used a clicker (I can’t think of the name of the instrument), and the other was old fashioned and uses his arms. You’ve reminded me it is time to make an appointment.
Thanks Cathy. You make some great points. I hope you will be able to get back to your special exercises.
I certainly can sympathize with anyone with badk pain, having injured my back almost 60 years ago while working outside in the winter on the slippery steps of a chemical plant tower. To this day it can still flare up from time to time but by doing regular exercise and keeping stress low I am blessed to be able to keep it in check.

Back pain is awful i have chronic back pain and at times it can be unbearable lasting for days. I tried everything. Nothing worked so i went to the doctor. He like you explained its very common. I am now able to find some relief thanks to all this.
It happens from sitting, standing. And lifting weights. My personal condition is from weight training and standing on concrete 12 hours a day. In time it does get better, but i agree the doctor is the first step. Once you know whats causing the pain is important. When you find that you cant start treating naturally or with prescribed medicine
You have made some great observations and thank you for sharing Denton. All the best in the future.

Nice and informative. I have experienced sciatica and spinal stenosis. An inversion table helped with sciatic pain. With spinal stenosis, epidural injections helped for a couple of years, then had lessening effect. Then came surgery, which enabled me to walk farther and without pain.
All of my issues commenced from arthritis. I now use my treadmill every day, though I use a back brace. I work out with weights and other forms of resistance every other day. At age 78, I am fortunate to still be active.
Back problems are debilitating, but can be overcome……Richard
Thanks for sharing Richard. Sorry for the challenges you have had to face but happy that you pushed through them. Keep up the good work, and I wish you all the best.
